Accounts Technician / Administrator

Duties & Responsibilities:

Accounts preparation to trial balance - Ensure effective preparation of accounts and trial balances to be sent to auditors in a timely manner. The preparation of monthly management company accounts.
VAT & PAYE - Ensure VAT and PAYE are paid in a timely manner
Wage preparation - The preparation of wages on a weekly basis to be presented to the manager for authorisation.
Dealing with annual accounts - Ensuring that accounts have been sent to auditors in a timely manner. Follow up with auditors on the status of accounts as well as liaising with Company Secretary.
Creditors, debtors and bank recs - Ensure nominal ledgers are up to date throughout each financial year and bank recs are up to date on a weekly basis.
Attending meetings of the Board of Directors - Be available to attend Directors meetings to present/go through status of accounts. These meetings may take place after office hours.
Payments, Creditors & Banking - Ensuring all creditors are invoiced in a timely manner and followed up weekly. Ensuring all payments due are dealt with in a timely manner and responsible for all day to day banking matters.
Compliance with CRO - Filing ARD dates on time as well as ensuring that all relevant statutory forms are completed in a timely manner and sent to the CRO
Recording holiday & leave entitlements
Scheduling advertising on computer system
General office administrative duties

The Candidate:

Should have relevant accounting qualifications and experience
Have relevant office administration experience
Be familiar with computer accounting systems
Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
A strong team player but be able to work on own initiative when required
Be able to work to tight deadlines
Attention to detail is vital
Have excellent communication and people skills
Must have a solid background in working in very busy office environments
Must have strong organisational skills


Training will be given to the successful candidate but they must be able to hit the ground running and embrace challenges head on.

Hours of Work:
The role requires twenty hours per week.

Renumeration:
Salary will be paid at the rate of 10 per hour (200 per week)
